"An outstanding school in which pupils make outstanding progress" - OFSTED

Bury and Whitefield Jewish Primary School

About our school

Our School History

BWJPS  was established in 1984 by a group of parents as a Jewish School for the community. The aims were then drawn up by the Spear Trust (Jewish Educational Development Fund). The school has grown and developed, and now provides excellent State Education.

Our school is organised into eight single age classes.  Children enter school at 3 years old into the

Foundation Stage, moving into Key Stage One which is Year 1 and Year 2, where the National Curriculum is followed.  National Tests are completed at the end of year 2.  Key Stage Two is years 3,4,5 and 6. National Tests or SATs are also completed at the end of Year 6 before pupils move the secondary school.
