Child Protection

At BWJPS, the governors and staff seek to provide a caring environment for the children within our care. We recognise that all children have a fundamental right to be protected from harm. We understand that we need to act continually to enhance the welfare and safety of children whilst maintaining the role of advocator and protector to those who face special difficulties in realising their full potential. Our school fully realises the contribution it can make to protect children and support pupils in school.

Our Child Protection policy draws upon the experience, procedures and practice of a number of professionals who work with children in educational, social and healthcare settings. The document is also informed by known good practice in Bury and in other parts of the country and is in line with current Bury Child Protection Committee (BCPC) Procedures.  Please ask the school office to see a copy if you are concerned.
