Headteacher’s Welcome

A Message from the Headteacher

Choosing the right school for your child can be a difficult task. Thank you for your interest in Bury and Whitefield Jewish Primary School. Every parent wants to make the right decision. At Bury and Whitefield Jewish Primary we help your child take the first steps of preparation for life, to enable them to make an effective contribution to society.

We are very proud of our friendly small school with its wonderful staff and our fantastic pupils and all their achievements. We are lucky to have our building in the heart of the Bury and Whitefield’s community on a magnificent green site.

BWJPS is an exceptional school and our promise to you is that every single child here is given the care and attention they need to fulfill their potential and find their strengths. I personally know every child by name, and the children all know each other across the year groups. Everyone is nurtured and made to feel valued. The staff are truly committed to bringing out the best in each child in their secular and Jewish education as well as their personal and social development.

At BWJPS’ we teach the programmes of study from the National Curriculum to the highest possible standard for each child, and although our results are outstanding, the education of your child is about much more than that. It is about developing their independent, social, physical and creative skills. Indeed, it is about nurturing the whole child.

We believe that the education of your child is a partnership between school and parents. We want to work together with parents to help your child achieve their full potential. We welcome parents’ views on our school and our door is always open for help, advice and support.

We believe that children learn best when they are happy and we strive to create an atmosphere that encourages active learning, where children are encouraged to be proud of their achievements.

Your child’s early years will only happen once. It is important that you choose the school that is right for your child.

There may be many questions you want to ask. Please do not hesitate to telephone or email your query and we will be pleased to help you.
