We have been talking about a successful, black inventor called Garret Morgan. He invented the three light-traffic light. We discussed how his invention is used by lots of people every day and how much safer the roads are because of them. Outside the children had a go at using the three colours of the traffic light to control the bike and scooter traffic. Inside we linked our learning to Maths and found different ways of creating traffic light patterns.
