March 2021
In PSHE, Year 1 & Year 2 discussed the feeling of jealousy. We watched a video story and talked about a powerpoint that our teachers showed us. Interestingly, we learned that William Shakespeare called jealously ‘the green-eyed monster.’
Jealousy can make you feel angry, sad, furious, upset and mean
We acted out different scenarios in which we might be jealous, for example if it was our sister’s birthday and they had got a lot of presents or if our baby brother sat on our mummy’s knee.
We said that it is important to learn to try and control our feelings and be happy for our friends, not be jealous of us them.
Then we all drew a green-eyed monsters and wrote about how it made us feel. Some of us also made green-eyed monsters from salt dough!
