Fundraising and Year Book

We decided at the end of last year, that the school needs to undertake a major fund raising exercise.

A small sub-committee on the fund raising side was created, involving the following:-

• SIMON TAYLOR – FOUNDATION GOVERNOR/CHAIR
• HARVEY JACOBSON – CHAIR OF GOVERNORS
• DOVID JAFFEE – ASSOCIATE GOVERNOR

Ultimately, a decision was made to produce a yearbook and diary, for 2018/2019 and to look for sponsorships from advertisers.

Our aim was to reach £50,000 worth of sponsorship, which would be spent on a complete revamp our IT systems within the school.

The yearbook and diary will be issued before the end of term, to all parents and sponsors, without charge.

We would like to thank all our sponsors, and the parents who have supported us with advertisements in the yearbook.

In addition to advertisements and, of course, it being a diary, there will be, within the book a special focus on those pupils who are leaving our wonderful school this year, i.e. the current year six.  Each year six pupil will have their picture, and a single page within the book, with some comments.  The Year Book can thus be retained as a keepsake for the future, and as memory of their wonderful times at Bury & Whitefield.

We are delighted to confirm that overall we have raised an amazing £66,534 for the year book from our fund raise!!
The first draft of the year book is now with our marketing people and will be published by the beginning of July.  We will hopefully be able to distribute a copy to you all well before the end of the school term.
