Pastoral Care
At BWJPS we pride ourselves on the pastoral care we provide for pupils. Staff make a great effort to get to know pupils and their families well so that support can be provided in whichever way it is required. We operate an open door policy to enable parents to discuss their concerns at any time. School can be contacted in person, by telephone, by letter or email.
We hold anti-bullying week each year to discuss issues amongst the children and raise awareness surrounding the principle of bullying. We have effective systems in place for pupils to get help if they feel they are being bullied. We have worry boxes in years 4, 5 and 6. Where appropriate, the Headteacher is informed so that action can be taken to help where necessary.
We have a very active school council at BWJPS. Each year two representatives from each class are elected to sit on the school council. They meet each week and discuss various issues about how to improve our school.
